1-Day workshops are occurring across New York State to address the burden of chronic disease. The workshops are designed for individuals interested in improving the health of their communities.
What Youll Learn:
Engage the Community
The Steps to a HealthierNY model recognizes that communities are key to the prevention and control of chronic disease. This workshop will examine how to build effective coalitions and partnerships.
Evidence-Based Interventions
The Steps to a HealthierNY program implemented only proven strategies to reduce chronic disease. During the workshop you will learn cutting-edge interventions for schools, worksites, and the community-at-large. The highlighted interventions are low-cost and can be easily used in your community.
